For a few years, the chalet at Mont Alta has started to show signs of aging. After multiple requests for subsidies from the government, we decided not to await a miracle, but to deal with the construction of a new chalet ourselves.

Since 1951 Mont Alta offers an alternative to commercial skiing. On our premises, the trails are always strategically planned, snow is groomed everywhere, leaving ground accessible for all types of skiers.

Our geographical location, which is in the snow belt of the Laurentians, guarantees us 100% natural snow from Christmas until the beginning of April.

In order to continue this adventure, which has lasted more than one half-century, we decided to launch a large financing campaign based on generosity!

A good number among you have skied the mountain for many years! Time today to give your support to our various programs which will enable us next spring to begin the construction of a new chalet.

With this intention, we need to collect during the season, the sum of 400 000$, which will be used to build a new chalet, and will include all the services which skiers and snowboarders need, and this, as always, in an ALTA spirit, which aims at continuing to offer superior skiing.

Here are the different programs:

1. The price of tickets for adult day (week end) was revised to 25$. This slight increase will be used to finance the new chalet.. 10% of the increase will be given to the Sainte Justine Hospital for Sick Children. Mont Alta continues to offer the best prices in the Laurentians and Canadian Tire money is always accepted at par.

2. You can now sponsor one or more trails on the mountain. For the sum of 200$ + taxes, this enables you to post your name on a sign below the trail of your choice. There is room for 10 sponsors per trail, for the next ski season! We will offer you 2 valid ski tickets for one day at any time during season 2006/2007 with the sponsorship program: COME SKI ON MY TRAILS!

3. For the more serious patrons, it is possible for 10 000$, to adopt a trail on Mont Alta. For the 5 next years, this trail will bear your name, and 2 seasons passes will be given to you each year.

4. The map of the trails with 490 000$
You can buy pixel ads directly on the map of the trails of the mountain at a cost of 1$ per pixel. Your ad will provide you with excellent advertising visibility!
