| Freestyle Ski
|
Mont Alta has a very strong mogul team. Head coach, Josée Charbonneau, was a member of the Canadian National Freestyle Team and participated in the Olympics. She is assisted by Brendan Walsh Roussel. Brendan has his Freestyle level and his Level 2 Moguls.
We also develop young skiers with the RBC Jumps and Bumps Canadian program which is supervised by Ski Canada. The team is trained by Jesse Pratt. Jesse has his Freestyle level with his Level 2 Moguls.
One of our team members, Frédérique Bonenfant Lingat has been identified by Sport Québec as an Olympic hopeful. At the 2004 Canadian Junior Championships in Silver Star, B.C., Frédérique won the gold medal in Parallel Moguls and a silver medal in Singles. She placed first in 2 provincial competitions and 16th in both Canadian Series.
During the summer months, participants have the opportunity of training on Stephane Rochons' water ramp in St-Hyppolite. Some also surf in the ocean to keep up their training!
